The C30, a member of the UR family of protection relays, is a digital controller that provides digital I/O and programmable logic that may be used as a stand alone device or as a component of an automated substation control system. The relay also includes digital elements that can be used to monitor any FlexLogic™ operand and digital counters that can count function operations, the change of state of an external contact, or pulses from a watt-hour meter. When more than one controller is connected through the Ethernet ports using MMS/UCA2 protocol, digital states may be shared on the peer-to-peer network and logic may be distributed, increasing the processing capability.
